Years ago when I started fishing I was introduced to the sport using a vest. I always had comfort problems, and there was too many hard to reach spots. Soon after I switched to hip packs. Out of the many hip packs I have used, this is by far the most versatile and comfortable pack I have used to date. It has plenty of room to store whatever I may need on a day outing or even a weekend trip. My favorite addition that a typical hip pack doesn't have is the neck strap. It's nice to have that extra support when your pack is all loaded up. Another pretty sweet feature is the built in stripping basket. Many different pockets, one in particular is the "Zip-No" magnetic pocket. Pretty sweet, not to mention much easier to operate than a zipper.
